This depends on the target school and the format and make-up of the specific exam. I help prepare students for various exam boards including all schools which use the GL or CEM assessments and numerous independent school entrance exams. Non-Verbal Reasoning
Patterns, sequences, transformations, spatial reasoning and problem-solving.
Exam Technique
Time management, question strategy and approaching unfamiliar questions effectively.
How the Lessons Work
1. Initial Assessment
The first couple of lessons will be used to identify your child's current strengths, areas for development and any gaps in their knowledge
2. Lesson Planning
Lessons are then planned around the areas identified, with appropriate resources and questions selected to support progress.
3. Targeted Teaching
Lessons focus on the specific knowledge, skills and question types your child needs to develop, using appropriate methods and approaches for their exam.
4. Ongoing Progress
New, relevant material is introduced, alongside more in-depth work on some of the most common topics in order to cement and secure previous learning.
5. Exam Preparation
As the exam approaches, lessons increasingly focus on applying knowledge under timed conditions, exam technique and tackling unfamiliar questions.
